Chapter 1. Standards

SECTION 1. THE DATING SYSTEM CODE

  1. The Republic expresses its dates in the order Day, Month, Year.
  2. “Month” shall be expressed, where possible, in the Talossan language, but in English otherwise.
  3. “Year" shall be expressed as three figures, separated by slashes:
    • the year in the Common or Christian Era, in ordinary numerals;
    • the Year of Talossa, as dated from 26 December 1979, in lowercase Roman numerals;
    • the Year of Our Freedom Restored, as dated from 1 June 2004, in uppercase Roman numerals.
    Therefore, the date of the submission of this Resolution would be expressed as 10 August 2004/xxv/I. The date eighteen months from now would be 10 February 2006/xxvii/II.
  4. For the short form (esp. when keeping files in order by date), it shall be as such: yymmdd.hhmm

SECTION 2. THE ISO DESIGNATIONS STANDARDS CODE

In accordance with the format created and maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the following are designations assigned officially by this government:

Chapter 4. Telecommunications

CHAPTER 1. THE WEBSPACE NATIONALISATION CODE

  1. The following domain names and associated webspace are the common property of the people of the Republic of Talossa:
    • talossa.com
    • talossa.net
    • talossa.org
    • talossa.info
    • talossaonline.com
    • republicoftalossa.com
    • republicoftalossa.net
    • talossan-language.com
    • talossapedia.com
    and shall be administered by the Government of the Republic of Talossa. The above domain names and their associated webspace shall be known as "the national webspace"
  2. Responsibility for the content of public discussion forums in the national webspace shall be vested in the Secretary of State. Responsibility for the membership list of the public discussion forums of the Republic shall be vested in the Minister of Immigration.
  3. Responsibility for the content of all other parts of the national webspace shall be vested in the Minister of Information.
  4. The Minister for Technology shall be responsible for the practical and technical maintenance of the National Webspace.
  5. The Minister for Finance shall prepare separate legislation detailing the costs related to the ownership of the national webspace and a plan for the collection of voluntary contributions from citizens to pay for these costs.
